About the Camp
The third annual low-brass bootcamp will be held in Tucson, Arizona from July 23-27, 2012 on the campus of the University of Arizona.
Join world-class players from every corner of the globe as world-renown tutors provide a week of intense training and fun. 2012 Staff includes:
Euphonium
- Steven Mead, international soloist and professor of euphonium at the Royal Northern College of Music.
- Pat Stuckemeyer, soloist, entrepreneur and professor of tuba and euphonium at Mesa Community College.
- Danny Helseth, former euphoniumist with the Air Force Band, Washington, D.C.
- Jamie Lipton, assistant Professor of Low Brass at Henderson State University.
- Matt Tropman, former euphonist with the 'President's Own' U.S. Marine Band and current professor of tuba and euphonium at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
Tuba
- Kelly Thomas, professor of euphonium and tuba at the University of Arizona.
- Aaron Tindall, soloist, professor of tuba and euphonium at Ithaca College.
- Scott Watson, professor of euphonium and tuba at the University of Kansas.
- Warren Deck, former principal tuba of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
Cost
Cost for the weekly tuition will be $450. Included in this will be:
- Weekly tuition.
- Camp commemorative T-Shirt
- Evening activities
- Transportation to-and-from University of Arizona
- Catered Breakfast and Lunch
Lodging is available in single and double occupancy dormitory rooms.
Costs are:
- Single occupancy: $250/person
- Double occupancy: $150/person
